Construction industry in Qatar currently suffers a slump caused by the recession in the oil prices and that would be a challenge reflecting on the ongoing projects. The boundaries of the zone may increase or decrease by a decree of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture

Qatar is now in the process of drafting a new law to facilitate its Public Private Partnership Projects (PPP) sector, and to provide a strong legal framework for the efficient delivery of such future projects. Qatar’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce may submit the draft law to the cabinet in August 2016.
